Well, I don't really agree with the premise. But if I'm wrong, then we're all in a tremendous amount of trouble. The speed of "innovation" in the tech world is a large part of the reason that the tech world is causing so many problems.
The tech world seems to enjoy destroying things and replacing them with inferior, more costly alternatives to those things.
