Is this another "china bad" propaganda piece trying to make a quick buck?

Ah yes, the predictable “it’s propaganda” comment every time someone writes something that could be considered negative about China.

It’s objectively true that China is an authoritarian regime. It’s objectively true that Apple has made itself extremely dependent on China. It’s objectively true that China and USA has become increasing antagonistic toward each other. It’s objectively true that this is going to be an increasingly bigger challenge for Apple. So writing about this topic is hardly propaganda. It’s illuminating real things happening in the real world.

I would like to add that what China is doing isn’t necessary morally bad. They’re just acting in their own self interest. And it’s obvious that some of these issues have been created by USA. They’re also acting in their own self interest.

What I’m reacting to is that we’re supposed to pretend like what China is doing isn’t happening… because describing what’s happening when China is acting against western interests is somehow “propaganda”.

It’s a problem that many of the issues around China are being actively suppressed these days. Just look at YouTube searches for “China”. Blatant pro propaganda videos with a handful of views show up on the first pages. While channels doing relatively neutral coverage of real issues within China with hundreds of thousands of views are nowhere to be seen…. Unless they change to an anti-USA clickbait title/thumbnail as some of these channels have found in recent days.
