I have only just found out about this feature introduced in iOS 18.2. It also allows exporting of bookmarks, history and the reading list.
It might just be me, but I don't think Apple did much to bring attention to this.
With being able to export passwords, and the addition of a standalone Passwords app on iOS 18, using Apple's built in password management might finally be a useable solution for iPhone users.
I have no idea when the import feature was added. It feels ironic that it's only now there is finally an export option that I am interested in the import button for the first time. But perhaps like the examples in the Alanis Morissette song, I think it's not irony at all. Without a way out, it really shouldn't matter to you if there is a way in.
