Ask HN: What alternatives to Docker Desktop are people using?
We're now a few years out from the Docker licensing fiasco. Who has successfully migrated their company to an alternative? What is working well and what's not?

I have been enjoying containerd & nerdctl on Debian for almost 2 years after being a docker user for ~7 years.
nerdctl uses the same syntax, all my compose.yml files still worked, been a very stable experience, have never considered going back
no comment on winders or macs options, never touch them for dev work
Nice, are you collaborating with developers at your company? Or is this more for personal use?
If you are container based, Podman is probably the best bet.
Checkout Orbstack Its available on MacOS
if you don't need the UI, colima works pretty well for mac
Podman and podman desktop here.
Podman
Orbstack has not yet been enshittified yet
Honestly what does enshittified this mean in this case?
I can only assume it means “paid” because nobody I know pays for Orbstack or any of these docker tools.
